Shveta Salve, Hina Khan Slam Trolls After Lewd Comments Flood Aashka Goradia’s Yoga Session

Staying in the limelight and being on the top of your game has its own demerits. It might seem that actors are living their best life with thousands of fans waiting to have an interaction with them, but they are the ones who are often subjected to trolling and vulgar comments from people across the globe. However, when silver screen star Aashka Goradia was subjected to lewd comments, she decided to fight back.

It all happened when the ‘Baal Veer’ actor hosted a live Yoga session on Instagram accompanied by her husband Brent Goble, reported Hindustan Times. The couple was also joined by actor Shveta Salve, however, they had to leave the live video midway after the trolls started passing lewd comments.

Irked by the obscene comments, Shveta Salve decided to give it back to the trolls by reporting them to the cybercrime department.

Shveta took to Instagram and wrote:

She even named and shamed the trolls and reported them. Shweta later joined a campaign titled ‘Ignore No More’ against online harassment, reported The Indian Express.

Talking of which she wrote:

And soon after, several celebrities supported Shweta and Aashka in their fight against cybercrime. And one of them was ‘Hacked’ actor Hina Khan who wrote in her post:

People online also supported Shweta in this regard.

Aashka also thanked Shveta for standing up for her. “I looked up to you even when I did not know you for the way you carry yourself and the choices you make.”

“Everything seems tremendous to me. But what you did for me yesterday sets precedence on how a woman can lift another woman.”

“I am so humbled and honoured that you got my back even when I wasn’t watching cause the real good counts when you are good even when no one is watching, you are that,” reported News18.

It is empowering to see women like Shweta and Aashka setting the right example and showing us the way forward if we ever find ourselves in this situation. Thank you guys for doing the right thing.
