Bollywood actress Dia Mirza previously came forward to admit the existence of Bollywood camps in the context of the nepotism debate that had gained momentum. And now that there is a widening probe reportedly carried out by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) into an alleged drug syndicate in the industry, the 38-year old actress known for her roles in movies like ‘Thappad’ and ‘Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein’ has again spoken up, issuing a clarification on her end.
As per a report in The Indian Express, Dia Mirza took to her social media handles to “strongly and categorically” deny allegations of her having procured or consumed narcotic or contraband substances of any form in her life. In the firmly-worded tweets, she also slammed “frivolous reporting” for impacting her reputation and “causing damage” to her career. She also declared to take legal action going ahead. She also shared the same message on her official Instagram handle to set the record straight. She termed the allegations “false, baseless and with mala fide intentions” and ended the note by thanking her supporters for standing by her at this time:-
