‘I’ve become so numb, I can’t feel you there.’
I couldn’t have put my thoughts into words more accurately than this. And something tells me, you agree. If you’re a 90’s kid, chances are you head-banged to ‘Linkin Park’ songs while it spoke to the punk in you. Chances are, you felt Chester Bennington wrote what he wrote and sang what he sang, just for you. Alas!
If you haven’t heard already, the frontman, THE Chester Bennington is no more. Yes, the world has lost another exemplary artist to depression and heartbreaking doesn’t even cut it.
According to law enforcement sources, the singer hanged himself at a private residence in Palos Verdes Estates in L.A. County.
His body was discovered on Thursday. According to reports, it was depression that took his life and his struggle with drugs and alcohol overtook his will to live. He had said in the past he had considered committing suicide because he had been abused as a child by an older male.
Of course, the first reaction was denial, people hoping it to be a hoax. But Linkin Park co-founder Mike Shinoda’s tweet confirmed it for all.
Shocked and heartbroken, but it's true. An official statement will come out as soon as we have one.

Needless to say, the world is mourning the artist and how.
