Have you ever been in a relationship with someone who was so insecure about your ex that it’s hilarious? I have come across so many people whose current partner demands proof of their love for them. For some people, cutting all ties with an ex is enough. However, one girl went a little too far with her demands!
According to a report by Metro UK, a 17-year-old girl urged her boyfriend to kill his ex to “prove his love”. He had allegedly maintained a cordial relationship with his ex and the girlfriend found it humiliating and developed trust issues.
The boyfriend was scared that his relationship would come to an end. Hence, he agreed to kill his ex. The day before the murder, he guy had searched terms like ‘asphyxiation’ and ‘how long do people get sentenced for murder’.
The boy went to his ex’s house the next day with a bag full of fresh clothes to change into and a kitchen knife, reports Mail Online. On meeting her he asked if she could kill herself for him, or he could kill her, and how should he kill her. He added that he was being pressurized to kill her and if he didn’t, his family would be harmed.
He even suggested her if she could apply makeup on her neck and make it appear as if she had been strangled and fake her death. Then he could just take her picture and provide it as evidence.
The ex did as she was told, applied makeup and lied on the floor with her eyes closed pretending to be dead. However, when she opened her eyes she saw that the guy was holding the knife. She then tried calling the police but the guy prevented her. She tried pushing him down the stairs but he got really violent.
Next, the guy started attacking her. His violent blows left her wounded on the neck, arms face, and on her back. He left her place after the attack, leaving the girl severely injured.
Meanwhile, his girlfriend waited outside the crime-scene the entire while. She even left him numerous text messages, encouraging him of the enterprise, and asked him to video record the attack. When the guy was done, the couple escaped the locality.
However, the two were arrested within minutes on suspicion of attempted murder.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital and it was later declared that she was out of danger and would heal soon. However, she claims that she is scarred by the attack.
The girl has been jailed for “intentionally encouraging or assisting a person to commit murder” and the guy for “attempted murder”. The two have been punished with 16 years of jail-time.
Trying to harm someone in the name of love is absolutely unacceptable. Such toxic relationships should be condemned!
