103-YO Woman & 91-YO Man In Iran Recover Fully From Coronavirus Within A Week

Thus far 218,824 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed worldwide. Out of this, around 84,8118 people have recovered while 8,810 have succumbed to the viral infection. The mortality rate among those belonging to the age group of 80 and above has however been presumed to be higher as compared to those belonging to younger age groups, reports Business Insider.

This is why the case of an elderly woman recovering from the COVID-19 infection in Iran comes as heartening news. A 103-year-old woman from Iran was hospitalized in the central city of Semnan after she was diagnosed with coronavirus a week ago, reports News 18. The unnamed woman was given a discharge from the hospital recently after fully recovering from the viral infection, reports Daily Mail.

Also, she isn’t the first elderly person to have fought back the virus. A 91-year-old man from Kerman in Iran with pre-medical conditions of high blood pressure and asthma managed to recover from the infection in just three days, reports Times Now.
