You may have heard it a hundred times before but I’ll tell you again.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

Maunil Vora and three of his friends cycled on one of the most dangerous yet most beautiful stretches in the country, Shimla – Kaza – Manali, covering a distance of 1082 km. Trust me, the panoramic and spectacular mountain view will simply take your breath away.

Here are the things they did and I’m sure you will see all of these if you bike your way through this route:

1. Seeing the majestic Himalayas. (So, this is now my wallpaper.)

2. Moon watching at night with chilly breeze for company.

3. Clear rivers on the side and sleepy little towns – passing by all of them.

4. Clicking magnificent back-drop..because getting the best picture takes a lot of effort.

5. Meeting local families and playing with their kids.

The story shows where there is love, there is a way. This is what he had to say:

Here we were in the summer of 2015 cycling on one of the most dangerous yet most beautiful roads in the world, Shimla – Kaza – Manali. Because you never just go to the mountains once, they keep calling you. Maybe this film will inspire you to get out, ride and explore India before booking an expensive vacation abroad. Share it with your friends, hope to see you riding in Himachal sometime. With a helmet.

This mountain biking trip is to a motorcyclist what Everest is to a mountaineer. 🙂
