Man Tried To Form An ‘Army’ Of Child Terrorists, Found Guilty Of Planned Terrorism

The rate at which we’re going, it won’t be long before the human existence is wiped off of the face of this earth, owing to our own misdeeds. A 15-year-old boy using selfies on Twitter to show the rest of the world what horrific conditions persist in Syria chilled us to the bone. We’re all constantly living in terror of the handful of people terrorizing the world.

In a shocking incident, a UK man named Umar Ahmed Haque tried to form an ‘army’ of children terrorists by showing the kids extreme violence videos at an after-school madrasa. He even made them role play as terrorists and police officers.

As per BBC News report, the 25-year-old religious teacher has been convicted of planned terrorism, by trying to radicalise children to become future suicide attackers.

The attacks he had planned across London were inspired by the atrocious works of the terrorist group – ISIS. According to HuffPost, he had no qualifications to be a teacher, but he was allowed to supervise Islamic studies at a school in East London. According to The Guardian, he must have tried to radicalise at least 110 students at the Ripple Road mosque, of which, 35 are now receiving long-term support.

He is suspected to have come in contact with about 100 children, whom he showed videos of extreme violence including executions. The children were aged between 11 to 14-year-olds.

In a report by Hindustan Times, Dean Haydon, head of Met Police Counter Terrorism Command said,

“When specially trained officers interviewed the children, they described being shown by Haque horrific videos of extreme terrorist violence including executions. They told police how Haque made them roleplay terrorists and police officers, with the children acting as terrorists being made to stab the ‘police officers’ to death. The children were paralysed by fear of Haque, who they understood to have connections to terrorists and who essentially told them that a violent fate would befall them if they told anyone what he was doing. They were too afraid to confide in anyone.”

The police also found Haque’s notebooks in which he has listed his plans, requirements to carry them out and many other details. Mirror.co.uk reported that the notebooks also had lists of potential targets and ‘justification for the attacks’.

When the police dragged him from the docks, he was heard shouting,

“You will clearly see Islamic State establish itself in the Arabian peninsula and that droughts will affect Europe and America. You will remember my warning.”

Along with Haque, two other men were also convicted of being accomplices in Haque’s planned terrorism. Abuthaher Mamun, 19, and Muhammad Abid, 27, were found guilty in their roles of helping Haque.

One cannot even begin to imagine the trauma those young children must have gone through, under the supervision of a monster like Haque. Imagine being at the tender age like theirs and having to learn that the purpose of your life is to kill innocent people in the name of ‘Jihad’.

May God punish the ones accused of such hideous crimes. May peace be with the children who had to experience this kind of monstrosity.
