SRK Admits Saroj Khan Was His First Teacher, Madhuri Mourns The Loss Of ‘Masterji’

If there is someone who has shaped classical dance in Bollywood it is Saroj Khan. It is because of her that songs like ‘Dola Re Dola’, ‘Nimbooda Nimbooda’, and ‘Ek Do Teen’ will be remembered for generations to come. The ace choreographer’s demise has left the entire film industry and her fans mourning. Many have taken to social media to share the wonderful memories they have had with her.

Shah Rukh Khan remembered how Saroj Khan was the “first genuine teacher” in the film industry and how she taught him to do the ‘dip’ move for films.

“One of the most caring, loving, and inspiring persona I have ever met. Thank you for looking after me,” he wrote.

Madhuri Dixit, who has worked with Saroj Khan in several films, took to Instagram to share loving pictures of the two. Thanks to the magic created by the two dance legends, ‘Ek Do Teen’, ‘Tamma Tamma Loge’, and ‘Dhak Dhak Karne Laga’ are big hits even to this day.

“I’m devastated and at an utter loss of words today! Saroj Ji was part of my journey since the beginning. She taught me a lot, not just about dance but so much more. There’s a rush of memories in my head thinking of this big personal loss. My heartfelt condolences to the family, she wrote.
