Recently, actor Sambhavna Seth faced tremendous backlash online for her vlog on Sidharth Shukla’s death. This came at a time when many celebrities condemned the media for sensationalizing celeb deaths and funerals.
Taking to Twitter, Sambhavna tried to justify her vlog. She said that fans have a right to know the inside details of a celebrity’s life.
We being celebs were concerned as fans too to know about @itsSSR family and friends at his funeral.. Same way @sidharth_shukla fans were also glued with tv sets to know what his family and friends are going through. They have all the right to know what is happening inside.

She went on to add that giving an insight to fans via social media is not a crime.
& giving a general insight to his fans through media or social media is not a crime unless you are leaking inside video or pictures. Which i didnt. Those who are becoming over smart with their tweets were also scrolling there social media feeds to know what was happening there.

Because I find it better to capture my unfiltered feelings myself and post it on my youtube channel than paying paparazzis like others to follow me at gym, shopping malls and funerals. I am my own representer dear chaps & chicks. So chill.

And those blaming me for making a vlog of it, first of all go and watch my full vlog keeping your jealousy aside. I didnt show even single pic or video from there. Like your daily job is blaming. Mine is vlogging same as acting/dancing.

Several people online schooled Sambhavna on why it is wrong to reveal information about a celebrity and his/her family during such a sensitive time. Many pointed out that she didn’t have the grieving family’s permission.
You are not the 1 to decide did you ask his mother’s permission? Or his sisters before uploading his funeral related things? Are you so insensitive what fams wants to know not know its their privacy not urs .. and what about the money you are going to get on this vlog ?

If his family wanted Sidharths fans to know anything they would convey it themselves. It wasn’t your place. You wouldn’t want someone to announce or publicize your most painfully vulnerable moment. I like you a lot Sambhavana but funerals should be kept private, my opinion.

Some fans even opined show Sidharth Shukla was a private person and one needs to respect his privacy even after his demise.
Srsly. We are fans we knew he was a private person. 1st you went there even after you did not know him and den you are sharing inside details about their condition who gave you the right to share this information? Do his fam told you to tell fan?

Yess they have the right. But you are nobody to grant that right to the fans or even decide. It’s the family who should be deciding.

What happening inside…really….it’s nothing to know….they hve lost the only son of the family..the youngest child….they r completely devastated…it’s common sense we don’t need your vlog to know this….Sid is a private person respect his choice..

Yes, you said it right. We as a fans are concerned about them. We do know how much pain they are dealing with, and we DO NOT WANT other celebs to give us the details about the same in IV, vlogs etc etc. Respect their privacy, it’s too difficult for you to understand that!

Yes fan do have right to know what is happening but not at that time when family is down and funeral is going on. when family fill well they come out and spoke about it. funeral is not movie that you have to show it to everyone.
I am @sidharth_shukla fan. @GAUAHAR_KHAN is right.— R0_Maheshwari (@RoshanMokati1) September 5, 2021
You titled your vlog “RIP Sidharth Shukla” isn’t that a clickbait. You didnt post vlogs on SSR,out of respect right? Why here then! Because you attended the funeral which is very good, BUT YOU MADE A VLOG. AND POSTED IT

Put yourself in the shoes of their family members and loved ones. Will u be happy if someone starts talking about when you are grieving?U will obviously need space n privacy. Let the family come out out n speak first, then the rest of u can join. Be sensible!
