“The purpose is to create low-cost water harvesting units in every society connecting it to terrace water. What we need is a big drum, pipes connecting terrace water to the drum, Pit as per the drum size. And stones around the drum for the water to penetrate in the soil. The entire process takes 3 hours. Filter net is used to keep solid waste away from the drum. We can even take out water from the drum for usages like floor cleaning and car wash. This water can also be used for gardening purpose”, he writes.
