Video Shows Animals In London Zoo Unwrapping Edible Presents Ahead Of Christmas

As Christmas is just around the corner, those celebrating the festival are eager to receive their present from friends and family. But the animals at this zoo in London didn’t have to wait till Christmas eve to unwrap their presents. Santa came early for these animals at the zoo and it’s already started to look a lot like Christmas here.

The caretakers at SL London Zoo kick-started their celebration by giving the animals edible surprises before Christmas. Some of the furballs found their treats hidden in a stocking, others had to unbox their yummy surprises, reported Metro.

Footages of the animals delightfully unwrapping their presents and savouring the treats were shared on social media.

Sharing their intention of treating the animals ahead of the holidays, Animal Operations Manager, Angela Ryan, said, “It’s the season of giving and our keepers always look forward to sharing the magic of Christmas with the animals at ZSL London Zoo. Just like children all over the country when they wake up on Christmas morning, Asim loved tearing into his brightly wrapped presents to get at the meaty snacks inside, while our squirrel monkeys and lemurs enjoyed finding the festive treats hidden in their stockings.”
