They say sometimes we learn a lot from kids through their selfless deeds. Their innocence keeps us grounded and spreads smiles in the world full of agony and hatred. Remember how the internet was in awe of an 11-year-old Mizoram student who saved a 7-year-old girl from the kidnapper and also gave her half the bravery award cash? Well, this time it’s this student whose little act of kindness is winning hearts online.
According to NDTV, a student from a Kentucky school made a cute request to the teacher in his test paper. Reportedly a topper in the class, the kid asked the teacher, if he could give his bonus points to whoever scores the lowest.
A Facebook user, Winston Lee took to social media and shared the screengrab of the test paper with the student’s special request. Lee also added how the kid’s sweet gesture gave him hope. “Let us all be a little more like this young man!!” Lee wrote.
Although the student’s gesture impressed many online, some even highlighted how his idea defeats the purpose of testing.
Here’s how they reacted:
Learning and scoring isn't enough, if you are not compassionate. While the marks transfer may or may not be a thing, however, the heart of that student is full of compassion. That is ❤❤❤❤❤.

This is the perfect example of someone's EQ being far more important than their IQ.

This seems nice, but it's not helpful to the lowest score person. It is giving them a fish instead of teaching them to fish. Perhaps high score should offer to study with low score, then low score would also have knowledge.

The test wasn't about kindness, was it? Student with lowest score could be the most kind student in the class and could be the highest scorer in other subjects. Rather than giving the student bonus point the teacher could simply standardize the scores for all subjects end of term

From Greta Thunberg to Manipur’s Licypriya Kangujam and then this young man, looks like the kids of today have taken it upon themselves to make the world a better place.
