Cricket is not a simple sport for India, it’s a religion, it’s passion… and it’s entertainment too. Since 1932, it has been inflicted in our veins and it has grown to become larger than life. From creating Gods to giving out country global recognition, cricket has done it all.

With the recent ‘India vs New Zealand’ series, we have witnessed some of the most epic moments ever. A series of 3 tests (which Indian won by 3-0), and 5 ODIs (which is tied as of now) gave us the privilege of witnessing some glorious cricketing moments.

Here are the best of them!

1. Dhoni’s ‘blind’ run-out

The Indian skipper still hasn’t lost his magic as we can see from this clip. That direct hit without even looking at the stumps resulted in Ross Taylor’s wicket!

 

2. Scott Styris walking out of the commentary booth after losing a bet

“I will walk out of the commentary box, and take the first flight to New Zealand if Jadhav takes a wicket today,” said Scott Styris. And after Jadhav took one, well…he did walk out.

 

3. Dhoni driving his hummer and Ross Taylor gawking at him

Dhoni was seen cruising in his classy Hummer on the streets of Ranchi, and it so happened the BlackCaps were passing by on their bus. When Tom Latham and Ross Taylor saw Dhoni, they seemed to be squealing like fangirls!

 

4. Kedar Jadhav’s magical balling spell in 3rd ODI

Even though he is not a bowler, batsman-wicketkeeper Kedar Jadhav did not disappoint when Captain MS Dhoni asked him to roll his arm over. He ended up taking 3 wickets in the 3rd ODI. Now, THAT was unexpected!

 

5. Virat Kohli’s lookalike was spotted in the stadium and fans went crazy!

6. Ross Taylor using Virat’s favourite Cuss Word out loud on field

Ross Taylor yelled something out at Virat Kohli. We couldn’t say for certain, but it did seem like Taylor said Bh*****d! And Virat returned the favour with a smile.

 

7. Tim Southee was declared the #JanaBankable player for the 4th #INDvsNZ ODI at Ranchi for his superb spell of 3-40.
