Air Hostess Asked Deepa Malik To ‘Chill’ When She Told Her Parents About The Delayed Flight

It is one thing to not know who is in front of you and another to deliberately treat them badly, because you think you can.

An air hostess on Vistara’s 3:35 PM UK 902 flight misbehaved with the Paralympic Silver Medalist Deepa Malik and asked her ‘chill’ when Deepa was calling her mom and dad to inform that the flight has been delayed.

“Cabin crew senior (member) was rude in the flight who told me to speak softly at a time when I called parents to inform delay in flight. On objecting, she says ‘sweetheart chill’.”

 

Deepa Malik’s flight from Mumbai to Delhi was delayed by 45 minutes due to bad weather in the capital. Deepa Malik was returning home after attending a programme with Sachin Tendulkar and Hrithik Roshan.

She also tweeted that the airlines had no idea on how to treat a passenger on a wheelchair. She says, “They did not know how to shift a person from seat to cabin chair. The entire staff stood and looked at each other for 10 min.”

Soon after Deepa tweeted about having a bad experience, Vistara issued a written apology to her on Twitter.

 

Deepa Malik was very happy to receive a prompt reply. Later, a Vistara representative came to meet her and apologised in person.

Disregard of a national hero is nation’s disregard. Team Vistara made up to Deepa Malik in time and have promised to better the treatment of specially abled passengers.
