Woman Texts Her Deceased ‘Dad’s Number Daily For 4 Years Until Finally, She Gets A Reply

We all dread the death of our loved ones. The mere thought that we might not be able to see them or talk to them anymore sends chills down our spine. But nothing can heal a mourning heart that yearns for their beloved. Probably that is why this young girl kept texting her deceased father figure on his old phone number ever since he died. And one fine day, something unexpected happened.

Chastity Patterson, 23 from America has been texting on her ‘dad’ Jason’s old phone for four years. She made it a point to update her father on every facet of her life. It is needless to say that she never expected a reply. One day she routinely sent an emotional text to the number on his fourth death anniversary. Little did she know that this text would change her life. Here’s the text she intended for him:

Chastity shared the screenshots of the messages on Facebook and wrote:

“I text my dad every day to let him know how my day goes, for the past four years! Today was my sign that everything is okay, and I can let him rest!”

To everyone’s surprise, she received a heartfelt message from the same number. Take a look at the text she received.

Like two broken hearts who understand the pain of losing their loved ones, the person (Brad) using her ‘dad’s’ old number replied and narrated how he felt like he found his deceased daughter in Chastity. Brad shared that he waited for her text every day because she reminded him of his daughter.

“My name is Brad, and I lost my daughter in a car wreck August 2014 and your messages have kept me alive. When you text me, I know it’s a message from God,” he wrote.

After the emotional turn of events, Chastity wrote in another Facebook post how “you grieve is all on you and no one can judge you.”

Like life, death is also a reality we can’t run from and no one can tell us how to cope up with the loss. But this incident makes me believe that somewhere someone is listening to us!
