As the entire country is battling COVID-19, several politicians have made some pretty unusual remarks on the pandemic. For instance, a Pakistani politician previously said how ‘coronavirus sleeps when we sleep’, or when Donald Trump faced backlash online when he suggested that sunlight and bleach could cure COVID-19.
Now, as per a report in NDTV, former Uttarakhand chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has made a bizarre observation on coronavirus during an interview. He stated, “If we talk philosophically, then Covid-19 virus is also a living organism which wants to live and has a right to live just like humans. However, we consider ourselves more intelligent than any other living organism, and are out to eliminate it. So the virus is constantly mutating itself.” Check it out:

He added, “Hence, we now have to keep distance from it. It is also moving and we are also moving, but we have to move fast than it so that it gets left behind.”

It is concerning to see people in power making statements like these, considering the rise in COVID-19 cases and deaths across the country. What do you think? Tell us.
