From ‘Basanti In Kutto K Saamney Mat Naachna’, to ‘Kitney Aadmi The?’, most of us movie maniacs have definitely quoted these popular dialogues from the 1975 film ‘Sholay’ because, kya kick milti hai!
While we enjoy feeling like a superstar as we say those dialogues and imitate the characters, a cop was recently taken to task for going down the filmy lane while patrolling at a city in Madhya Pradesh.
In a video that was extensively shared online, KL Dangi, in-charge of Kalyanpura police station in Jhabua district of Madhya Pradesh, was seen saying a modified version of the dialogue “So ja beta nahi to Gabbar aa jayega” from a megaphone mounted on his police jeep.
Dangi was seen saying, “Jab koi bachcha rotaa hai to maa kehti hai chup ho ja beta nahi to Dangi aa jayega.”

"A show-cause notice has been issued to him," says Jhabua ASP Anand Singh. (15.11) pic.twitter.com/FCEN0EKm8D

Even though he probably did this just for laughs, he was served with a show-cause notice, reported NDTV. Senior police official Anand Singh said:
“A video of Dangi has gone viral on the internet. A show-cause notice has been issued to him. Further action will be taken in the matter after a preliminary inquiry.”
This is how people reacted to it:

And I always thought people had sense of humour.
In a country where inequality is at its best, democracy is at its worst and lefts in fact worship a religion, this was expected #worstcountryindia

What’s wrong in this?? He just used humour to send out a message.
Was that fellow @OfficeOfKNath suspended when he called a woman ‘item’…esp when it was sexist to settle scores and not humour.
Shri @ChouhanShivraj must look into it.https://t.co/FoUpaQSHKS
