For Around ₹7.4 Lakh, You Can Buy These Skin Colored Boots & Impress ‘Jaadu’ Maybe!

Hamare zamaane mein, fashion brands used to compete to make their customers look more stylish and beautiful. But then they heard this phrase “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” and started experimenting just to see if there’s a demographic who’s into some weird stuff. That’s how we got this:

And, as if that wasn’t enough to make us sick for the rest of the year, a Canadian fashion brand has done something even more bizarre. They’ve come up with boots that look like human skin.

According to Daily Mail, Fecal Matter (yes, that’s their name) is selling boots that’s made to look like human feet, with the heels shaped like extended bones.

Do you want to know how much these cost? It has a price tag of Rs. 7,40,000 a pair! And people are paying to buy these.

This stylistic choice began as an experiment on Photoshop. But now they’ve become a reality by designers Hannah Rose Dalton and Steven Raj Bhaskaran.

The main idea behind making these boots look like this is to echo the idea of how we’d look like if we began to modify our bodies due to the influence of social media and advancement of technology. Bhaskaran told Vogue,

“We can get this alien look and present it and tweak it with Photoshop and make it look really realistic.”

“But at the same time, there is always this dysphoria in us. There is this urge inside of us to take what we do on the Internet and try to create that via real life. That is what we are doing with the shoes.”

Every single shoe is custom-made because the designers want to match the skin tone of the wearer with that of the shoe. So, it’s tailor-made from silicon and the details added in according to what the customer’s skin looks like.

So, while you decide whether to buy these bad boys from Fecal Matter or not, please allow me to get a glass water so that I can digest the sight of this.
