The rivalry between India is Pakistan is a world-known affair. From geography and politics to sports and entertainment, you pick a topic and there is some form of bitterness between the two neighbours. However, efforts have been made to ease the tension time and again. While we may not have achieved much success on the political front, the cricketers sure know how to display the sportsman spirit.
If you remember, on the eve of the India-Pakistan clash at the Eden Gardens last year, Virat Kohli gifted one of his bats to Pakistani pacer, Mohammad Amir. Turns out, he has repeated the friendly gesture yet again.
According to an image tweeted by a Pakistani journalist, Team India sent an autographed Virat Kohli jersey to veteran Pakistani all-rounder Shahid Afridi, after the latter announced his retirement.
Here is a picture of the autographed jersey with a message for Afridi saying “Always a pleasure playing against you”.
