YouTube has given people a platform to connect with the masses through their engaging video content. And among the millions of YouTubers who have been sharing their expertise with the world was this 73-year-old Grandpa, Narayan Reddy, well-known worldwide for cooking ginormous amounts of meals. What made him stand out from the rest was that he cooked giant portions of dishes which were eventually distributed among the less fortunate kids.
Within two years of starting his channel, ‘Grandpa Kitchen’, he had over six million followers from across the world. He would consistently post videos of him cooking delicious dishes like ‘KFC’s Fried Chicken’, ‘Butter Chicken’, ‘McVeggie Burger’, ‘Donuts’, ‘Pizza’, ‘American Lasagna‘ among others, in huge quantities, using locally available ingredients. His grandson would record the humble Reddy explaining the cooking process to his followers in his adorably crooked English.
However, internet’s favourite grandpa who always believed in ‘loving, caring, sharing’ and considered his followers as his family, breathed his last, last week leaving his internet family teary-eyed, reported News18. Reddy was recovering from an illness and was and was away from YouTube after he posted his last cooking video of ‘Crispy Potato Fingers.’
However, days later, his grandsons broke the news of his demise to the world with an emotional video.
The internet was shocked to hear about his sudden demise and mourned the loss of their grandpa.
Reddy will be remembered for his delicious recipes and the kindness he never failed to show kids. His words, ‘help people until you live on Earth’ would stay with us forever.
