Boy Mistakes Lipstick Stain As Abuse & Offers To Protect Woman, Touching Post Goes Viral

There is a saying which has become popular ever since the conversation and awareness surrounding sexual abuse and harassment has increased – more than teaching girls to be careful, we should teach our boys not to abuse and harass women. Turns out, the younger generation of men has that on point!

A post that has been going viral on the internet is making people hopeful of a more compassionate and supportive younger generation who do not flinch to protect women, even unknown women, from physical abuse.

A woman named Momina Naveed recently took to Facebook to share a heartwarming post of how a young boy mistook lipstick stains on her hand for bruises and offered to help her escape a supposed abuser.

Here’s what she wrote:

Went to the mall with my dad and tried out lipsticks.

Hand ended up looking bruised when I tried wiping them off and this kid (14-17 y/o prob) motioned for me to move to a corner and then asked me, whilst addressing me as his elder sister, if I needed help ‘getting away’ from someone. I explained to him that it was just lipstick,

MY HEART IS SO HAPPY. Our new-gen boys aren’t willing to be bystanders to abuse. They want to put an end to violence even if it is affecting women they know nothing about.

Maaajor props to our current generation of mamas; y’all are doing it right.

PS: for goodness sake, don’t use this as an anti-feminism/not all men/‘he probably wanted to kidnap you’ argument. I shouldn’t have to say why.

Netizens are crying happy tears and are lauding the young boy who is giving them hope of a better generation.

It’s our responsibility to teach the younger generation how to be more empathetic, tender, and loving instead of teaching them to exercise undue authority and excessive control over others. Thankfully, people are raising their kids right!
