From airports to hotels, there are many places where people are found doing weird things to keep themselves entertained, but a court must surely not be one of them. But seems like, people are in no mood of sparing the ‘Nyay ka mandir’ as well.
Recently, during a proceeding in Bandra court, somebody played the popular track, ‘Yeh Andha Kanoon Hai’ from Rajinikanth’s film ‘Andha Kanoon’ inside the courtroom. The entire room including lawyers and magistrates who were listening to bail applications in different matters were taken aback.
“The entire courtroom, including the magistrate, was surprised when the loud film song was heard. A police constable checked the bag and took it away. He also found a chit with ‘bomb’ written on it below the bag. The court took cognizance and called the Nirmal Nagar police, who arrived with a Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS),” a senior lawyer from the Bandra court told Mid-Day.
“After getting a call we followed the basic SOP and checked the bag. Nothing was found in it. We suspect somebody left it inside the court. We are enquiring about it,” said Sangram Pache, senior PI, Nirmal Nagar police station.
The police said that they found a BlueTooth speaker in the blue-colored bag, the song was probably played by a nearby mobile phone on the speaker.
Call it a prank or a sarcastic taunt, the naughty incident has certainly left people shaken!
