Yami Gautam’s Wedding Planner Reveals He Was Contacted A Day Before For The Simple Event

Yami Gautam tied the knot with filmmaker Aditya Dhar recently and it was unlike any mainstream celebrity wedding. Instead of a big fat Indian wedding, Yami went for a super intimate wedding in her farmhouse in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh.

Yami’s wedding planner Gitesh Sharma spilt the details about the low-key affair. According to Hindustan Times, Gitesh revealed how he was contacted by Yami’s father just a day before the wedding festivities began!

“Yami’s father contacted us a day before their wedding ceremonies (sangeet and mehendi) began. The Gautams brought their own family pandit from Bilaspur or Hamirpur for the rituals,” he said.

He added how the couple were clear that they wanted it to be a small wedding, instead of a glamorous one.

“They were clear that they didn’t want a larger-than-life, glamorous wedding. Instead, they wanted the ceremonies to be conducted in a natural and traditional way, as it happens in their hometowns.”

Revealing more details about the wedding, Gitesh went on to add:

“They got married in front of a deodhar tree. The mandap was decorated with marigold flowers and banana leaves, with a gold-and-white theme running across the décor. After the wedding, there was a small reception in the evening with family members. The mehendi was held in the courtyard.”

Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar’s wedding comes as a breath of fresh air amidst the elaborate celebrity weddings proving that love can be celebrated in the simplest of ways and yet be beautiful!
