Pole dancing has always been portrayed to us as a form of dancing which does not go down well with the society. While it is known as the risque genre, restricted to bars and strip clubs, times are changing and it’s enthralling to see it happen. I mean, have you ever wondered why the pole dancers have such incredibly fit bodies?
Let me tell you why. A lesser-known fact is that pole dancing is a great tool for losing weight and the world has finally picked up the formula! And of course, our Bollywood divas.
Jacqueline Fernandez became the first one to try her hands at the art in the song ‘Chandralekha’ from the movie ‘A Gentleman’. And she nailed it with perfection.
However, we have the latest member of the club. ‘Vicky Donor’ actress Yami Gautam seems to be tempted by the dance form. Speaking on the same to DNA, she said,
“The whole idea came because of my love for fitness and dance and that is something I enjoy doing now. Pole dancing is a great way to work on your fitness ability and your dance. It challenges the fitness level a lot more. So I thought this could be something additional which until now I could not have imagined myself doing.”
She continued…
“Now, I am in a phase where I want to experiment, push myself and my limit and this thought only comes from one’s mind. Nobody put this thought in my head, it stems from my own will and passion.”
Being a believer of fitness, Yami Gautam has already taken a step ahead and joined Aarifa Bhinderwala’s pole dancing class. But does she look like a first timer? Definitely not.
Not only Yami, but other familiar names like Neha Pendse and Nora Fatehi have also been hooked to pole dancing. And their Instagrams are proof!
