Yakub Memon’s Wife As Rajya Sabha MP? Yes, That’s What This SP Leader Is Asking For.

The hanging of 1993 Bombay blasts convict Yakub Memon has led to several debates and one includes whether he has paid for his brother Tiger Memon’s sins. But now within hours of his burial, another controversy has cropped up. Some politicians are trying to exploit the sentiment of injustice, which sadly prevails within some people who still believe that Memon was innocent and had to pay for his brother’s sin.

Vice President of Samajwadi Party’s Maharashtra state unit Mohammed Farooq Ghosi has written a letter to the party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav urging him to nominate Memon’s widow Raheen Memon to the Upper House.

He wants a Parliament seat for Raheen as a token of appreciation for the trouble she had to face the whole time during her husband’s imprisonment for 22 years.

Terming the timing of the letter wrong, he stated “I should not have written a letter to SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav. I understand this was not a proper time to write such a letter.”

Not only that, The SP leader has mentioned that he finds Memon’s wife helpless and wants to make her the voice of the feeble Muslims in the country.
