India, one of the fastest emerging markets of smartphones, is about to witness a boom in the mobile headset industry.
A domestic handset maker, named Ringing Bells, is slated to launch world’s cheapest smartphone at under Rs 500/-, on February 17.
That’s right! The Noida-based company told that this launch was inspired by Narendra Modi’s vision of “empowering India to the last person, transforming India’s growth story.”
The smartphone named, “Freedom 251” will be launched by Defence minister, Manohar Parikar on February 17.
The firm said this to the media:
At present, the cheapest smartphone available in the market is around Rs 1500. Earlier too, there were plans to launch the cheapest smartphone at Rs 999 by DataWind, but that is yet to hit the market.
DataWind had tied up with Reliance Communications (RCOM) to do so.
Ringing Bells is the new entrant in the mobile market, which was established last year.
Recently, the company had launched India’s cheapest 4G smartphone, Smart101, costing Rs 2999.
Well, with this cheapest smartphone emerging in India, it only proves to be a progress for Digital India and Make In India campaign and also, it’ll change the entire scenario of mobile headset market in the country.
Well done, Ringing Bells! I can’t wait to use it. 😀
