Women Cops Were Busy Taking Selfies Instead Of Protecting A Gang Rape And Acid Attack Victim

An acid attack is one of the worst crimes to ever take place on the face of this earth.

The cowardice of the person who throws acid on a woman just because he cannot get her, is just boundless. You would expect people to be horrified by something like this. Especially women who will empathise with the victims of acid attacks.

Not these women cops, though. A trio of female constables, who were supposed to protect an acid attack victim in a hospital, were caught clicking a selfie with the victim.

The victim, admitted in King George’s Medical University, had a horrible crime history where she was gang raped and then forced to drink acid after she complained to the police.

This meant that the woman needed police protection round the clock. And because she is a woman, three lady constables were assigned with the job of protecting her. But they apparently did not get the gravity of the situation and were caught clicking selfies.

The UP CM also took notice of this grave case and visited her, announced Rs. 1 Lakh as financial assistance to the victim.

The UP police have suspended the three constables and the Inspector General (Lucknow Zone) has promised that action will be taken against the erring constables.
