1. Caroline Cossey
Having appeared in James Bond movie and as the first transwomen on the cover of Playboy magazine, this classic beauty is an English model (now 61 years of age!) and is undeniably one of the most popular transwomen faces in the world.
2. Christine Jorgensen
The first transwoman to be widely known in America for having undergone sex-reassignment surgery, you wouldn’t believe Christine Jorgensen served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After her reassignment surgery, she worked as an actress and a nightlife entertainer. She even recorded several songs.
Christine Jorgensen passed away in 1989.
3. Andreja Pejić
An Australian model, Pejic describes herself as living “in between genders.” Until 2014, Pejic used to model for both masculine and feminine clothing. She underwent gender reassignment surgery in early 2014, and in 2015 became the first transgender model profiled by the fashion and lifestyle magazine Vogue, in its May issue.
4. Florencia De La V
Born Roberto Carlos Trinidad, she is now Florencia Trinidad, popularly known by her stage name Florencia De La V. A household name in Argentia showbiz, she is also the first transgender in Argentina to get her name and gender on an ID issued by the government changed without anyone viewing her gender shift as some sort of abnormality.
5. Lea T
Brazilian by birth, Lea T was born a boy to a well-known Brazilian footballer Riccardo Tisci. Raised in Italy, she underwent sex reassignment surgery in 2012. Professionally, she is quite a success as a transgender model. She is the creative director of the luxury brand “Givenchy”, and is also the face of the American hair care brand “Redken”.
6. Chamila Asanka
A Sri Lankan transgender model, Chamila Asanka even represented the country in the Miss International Queen 2011 pageant.
7. Isis King
Isis came out as a ‘gay’ in high school but eventually realised the tag didn’t suit her identity well. Following a hormone replacement therapy, which she started in the year 2007, she underwent gender transformation surgery after about 2 years.
An American fashion model and a fashion designer, she became the first transgender woman to compete on the reality show America’s Next Top Model. She is also America’s one of the most popular transwomen on television.
8. Claudia Charriez
This scintillating beauty was kicked off from American’s Next Top Model in 2006 for her male gender at birth. She was also fired from The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency, apparently, because she wasn’t making any money for the agency. The same gorgeous transwomen eventually became the winner of America’s Next Top Transsexual Model contest organized on The Tyra Banks Show.
9. Ines-Loan Rau
Ines-Loan Rau is a stunning transgender who is gaining rapid fame as a fashion model. Rau (now 24/25) underwent gender transformation surgery at 16. She counts another famous transgender model Andreja Pejić (discussed in pt.3) as her best friend.

Close rocked as a trans model as early as in the 1980s. As a pre-operative transwoman, she was the first to be featured on the cover of Brazilian Playboy. She underwent sex reassignment surgery in 1989, after which she even posed nude for Brazilian Men’s magazine Sexy. She was even voted “Most Beautiful Woman in Brazil”.

Another trans chic from Brazil, Tavares is a leggy, high-cheek boned progressing transgender model in the fashion focussed places like Brazil, Paris, and other parts of the world.

A model and a business woman from Philipines, Solis knew she wasn’t born the way she desired to be, from a very young age. She has worked in several TV shows and has participated in many transgender beauty pageants.
13. Sirapassorn Atthayakorn
This gorgeous Thai transsexual beauty went on to win Miss International Queen 2011.
14.Nong Poy
This bewitching Thai model simply hated being born a male and at the age of 17, she underwent sex reassignment surgery. At 24, she became the winner of Miss Tiffany’s Universe and Miss International Queen 2004.
15. Malika
A trans model hailing from Chennai, Malika was the first Indian to participate in the Miss International Queen, on November 4, 2011, in Pattaya, Thailand.
16. Caitlyn Jenner
Only a few months after the divorce from Kris Jenner, Bruce Jenner (A retired Olympic decathlon champion) announced herself as a trans woman. She went public with her changed identity through a cover story on her, published in the Vanity Fair issue of July 2015. From then on, Caitlyn Jenner became known as the most famous trans woman in the world.
