Looking at the past incidents of cruelty, hatred, and intolerance taking place in society, one must think that kindness and empathy have become obsolete today. However, a couple of good Samaritans have been working towards keeping compassion and philanthropy alive by passing on the goodwill they were once bestowed with.
We are talking about a Twitter user Keerthi Jayadevan who is making sure no deserving and talented student is denied education just because they can’t afford it.
Currently an engineering manager by profession, as a kid, Jayadevan never thought she would receive the best of education given that the combined salary of her parents was Rs 14,000 a month. To feed a family of four and provide for the kid’s education with a handful of money was an uphill task.
But because of a compassionate random stranger, Jayadevan was able to realize her dreams and afford college. Taking to Twitter, she shared how a kind random stranger sponsored her education via scholarship. She was touched by the humble act of the anonymous donor and wanted to do the same for someone.
Therefore, with her money, she contributed to the scholarship fund of her college that would provide quality education to deserving students with a weak financial background. “Today, I’m that random stranger to someone,” she penned.
My parents had a combined salary of 14,000 rupees a month. Barely enough for a family of 4.
The only reason I was able to afford college was the kindness of some random stranger via scholarship.

Just from her tweet, we could sense how proud and at peace Jayadevan is today. I’m sure, no amount of money or luxuries can earn us this kind of satisfaction. Hopefully, this chain continues. You go, girl!
