You never know what kind of people you’ll meet through online dating apps. If you’re lucky, you might match with someone who charts a creative route to get your digits. But sometimes, you also end up receiving texts from people who are just plain rude.
Thea Lauryn Chippendale is a 20-year-old student and like others her age, she too is on a dating app. Recently though, she received a text from a man named ‘George’ on the app. She was shocked because instead of a usual greeting, the man began the conversation by mocking her dress in one of the photos she had uploaded to her profile.
She shared a screenshot of the man’s rude remarks and the photo in question on Twitter.
Men are trash. (Included the pic he’s on about 🙃) pic.twitter.com/3pi6NHl0Oy

And Twitter was not impressed with the man’s behaviour. Everyone agreed that Thea looked beautiful in the dress and she shouldn’t let his comments affect her. Her post has since gone viral and received 105,000 likes and over 8000 retweets.
Netizens loved her dress with many asking her where she bought it so they could get one for themselves.
You look amazing 🥰

What?!?!!! This dress is GORGEOUS!!! I’m obsessed. What a tool. So annoyed for my friends on dating sites that deal with this nonsense. 😡🙄@BrittanyLKaplan

Anyone who writes "wouldn't of" doesn't deserve an opinion.

I’m so confused. Everything about that dress to the color and shape looks perfect for her

Just toxic behaviour

Interestingly, the brand she bought it from i.e. ASOS has now included the very same photo on their website and social media handles. Take a look.
@theachippendale Swipe right to see who had the last laugh… https://t.co/CKcqyDk1d9 pic.twitter.com/gkzgoAAfJ5

Who would’ve thought that something good could come out of such a situation, right? But kudos to Thea for standing up for herself and shutting down the hater.
