According to Times Now, the woman said, “I just woke up when I got another rejection letter from a job that I applied for, and I really kind of wanted this job. So I took a lesson from Gen Z and I sent them back this (the meme).”

The meme was that of a painting of Pope Leo X by Fernando Botero with the phrase “y tho” written underneath the face of the pope.

“It worked. They sent me another email saying they do, in fact, want to interview me,” she said.

“As a recruiter, if someone sent that to me I would ABSOLUTELY want an interview,” responded one person online, reported Yahoo.

“As a recruiter, if someone sent this to me, I’d try to find you another position,” wrote another.

So if you faced rejection today, don’t be too hard on yourself. Take it light-heartedly because, you never know, things may turn around for the better!
