A Girl Was Threatened By A Man INSIDE Her PG At 1AM As He Held A Knife And Demanded Sex

It’s late at night. You’re fast asleep. There is silence. All of a sudden, a sound in the room startles you awake. You open your eyes to find a stranger standing above you, holding a lethal knife. While this may be a vision from the nightmares of many, this girl from Mumbai actually lived through such an ordeal.

It was 1:30 am on the 5th of March when a resident of a PG accommodation in Kundalahalli Gate, Bengaluru was alarmed by a stranger in her room.

“He asked me to hand over all the money I had. He threatened me with the knife and demanded that I have sex with him.”

 

The intruder told her he was with a gang of five members who were all having sex in the other rooms. He began to ask her personal questions which she provided false answers for.

“Then the man tried to pull off my blanket. I resisted and he attacked me with the knife, injuring me. He tried to touch me inappropriately.”

When she tried to resist, he actually said to her that she was like his sister!

 

He continued to ask her probing questions as he went through the valuables in her room. Just as he turned to the door to check if someone was coming, she grabbed the opportunity and locked herself in the bathroom.

The man continued to bang on the door urging her to come out. Her horror finally ended when her roommate walked in causing the intruder to flee the scene.

 

Moreover, when she told the PG accommodation owner about the incident, he actually asked her not to lodge a police complaint. He even offered her monetary compensation for keeping mum about it. 

Allegedly, the owner also refused to hand over the CCTV footage of the intruder entering the PG accommodation.

It’s shocking to see that this incident occurred in a professional PG accommodation, which is supposed to possess safety as one of it’s most integral features. Furthermore, it’s appalling to find that the PG owner actually feels that any amount of money could compensate for the terrifying nightmare that this woman went through.

Let’s not just restrict ourselves to talking about women’s safety on women’s day. Women’s safety in our society is an ongoing concern. Just a day dedicated to the topic is just not enough. This conversation needs to continue.

In the year 2017, a man has the audacity to enter a woman’s PG and actually threaten her with a lethal weapon while demanding sexual favours?! This is just unacceptable.
