It’s 2019 and the world is a more inclusive place. But there are still a few people who have dated notions about equality and their behaviour reflects them. Be it racist customers harassing store employees or angry women going on anti-gay tirades.
Christopher Brown, a gay man, was getting a pedicure at Casabella Spa & Nails in Lynnwood, Washington. Another client (woman in orange) sat next to him while loudly FaceTiming with her daughter. When he politely asked her to take the phone off speaker, she reacted in a rude manner.
He recorded her offensive rant and posted it on Facebook

The woman tried to get the employees on her side by saying that she was a regular customer. When the staff remained neutral, she walked off while hurling abuses.
“Keep recording, sissy. You probably wish you had a c**t like me, right? I should show you my, uh, parts. F****t. Sissy. Queer. F*g. Eat my p***y, eat it.”
In the caption of his post, he explains why he decided to bring the incident out in the open.
“I hope her family and friends see this one day and are embarrassed by her despicable behaviour. Know that even in the Seattle region, life isn’t always sunshine and rainbows for the LGBT community.”
This video has gone viral and netizens have dubbed the unidentified woman ‘Speakerphone Sally’. The man himself has received a lot of support and his story was featured on Daily Mail UK and HuffPost. Hopefully, this incident will raise much-needed awareness about people’s prejudices and how this negativity needs to be shut down.
