Plane Forced To Land After A Woman Faked A Medical Ailment To Score A Better Seat

Do you remember the first time you traveled in a plane? I am sure, you were filled with curiosity and excitement. Sometimes, first-time fliers end up in awkward situations just like the man who mistakenly opened the emergency exit during take-off. While there are times when rushed passengers forget their babies causing indefinite delays.

But what if a passenger knowingly tries to delay a plane? Annoying, isn’t it? Well, a woman attempted to fake a medical condition to get a bigger seat on a flight, reports NBC. The woman passenger had asked for a better seat while onboard the flight. However, when the airline employees could not offer her the accommodations, she allegedly suddenly fell ill and was in need of medical assistance.

The woman was then taken to a mental health facility under the state’s Baker Act, which allows authorities to detain individuals believed to pose a threat to themselves or others. No criminal charges were filed against her.

We are just relieved to know that no one was hurt or injured during this situation. Also, the next time you crave a better seat, it may be wise to skip the theatrics and pre-book one instead.
