You heard me, inside the lake!

The woman wasn’t familiar with the area and followed the GPS, a little too seriously. She was driving in Tobermory area and she missed a right turn, and she ended up driving her car into the lake.

The police investigations revealed these details.

In her defense, it was raining heavily, hampering the visibility by a certain amount.

When she realized that her Toyota Yaris had sunk, the woman displayed fast thinking skills (thankfully!) and swam to the shore.

The water temperature was 40 degrees Fahrenheit and she had to swim 100 feet to reach the shore.

Her mobile was inside the car, therefore, she approached for help in a local shop.

Sadly, the car could not be repaired, but thankfully, she was not harmed.

The car has now been removed from the water.

I get the visibility problem, but driving straight into the water just because GPS directed you, is a little hard to digest!

Another incident that proves GPS can be misleading. 😀
