Not so long ago, Tweeple were in awe of a 68-year-old aaji who climbed steep steps of Harihar Fort proving that nothing, not even old-age, can stop her from living her life on her own terms. Now, another 68-year-old woman from Maharashtra is setting an inspiring example for us all.

The woman, identified as Rekha Devbhankar will be cycling 2200 km from Khamgaon in Buldhana district to the Holy Shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi in Katra in Jammu, on her own, reports Zee News.

Twitter user Ratan Sharda tweeted a video wherein the woman is speaking of her expedition. He captioned the video, “A 68-year-old Marathi lady is going to Vaishno Devi on her own, alone, by geared cycle. 2200 km from Khamgaon. Mother’s power #MatruShakti.”

As per Patrika, a local online newspaper, she left from Khamgaon on July 24. Rekha halts when it starts getting dark and covers almost 40 km per day. It goes without saying that Rekha is doing what most of us won’t even think of.

People online lauded her willpower and courage.

Hats off to you, grandma. I just want to know, ye superwomen khaati kya hai?
