Attending the weddings of our relatives can feel off-putting at times. But, one can’t deny that crashing a stranger’s wedding has a bit of a thrill to it. In my college days, we often used to hop out of our hostel fences in defiance of the hostel food (that was often under-cooked and over-cooked at the same time) and crash nearby weddings to have a little change of palate. But despite eating a well-cooked thali for a change, getting caught was our constant fear.
While wedding crashing is something to be frowned upon, there are some who take it to the next level. Hogging on food is one thing, and intended theft is another. A yet-unidentified woman form Texas USA dubbed as “The Wedding Crasher”, has been reported to be attending weddings uninvited and stealing gifts meant for the married couple.
Texas Police has even reached out on social media for help in their search for the serial wedding crasher who has been preying on unsuspecting newlyweds in New Braunfels, Texas, and the surrounding area.
The FB page of the ‘Comal County Crime Stoppers’ has even shared the images of the suspect from the multiple CCTV footage along with the plea for any tips regarding the identification of the alleged gift-stealer.
Update: The suspect has been identified, arrested and charged through the Comal County Sheriff's OfficeTIPS =…

“The Comal County Sheriff’s Office needs the public’s assistance in identifying the Wedding Crasher before she strikes again. Let’s not let her ruin anyone else’s special day and bring this crasher to justice.”
One of the victims, Dani Schick, who got married earlier this month reported that the suspect posed as a guest in her wedding and stole some gifts cards meant for the couple. She said, “We were a little upset at first. I guess more so just surprised.”
Police reported that the woman primarily stole envelopes of cash and gift cards from the weddings. The photos shared in the post belong to the surveillance video of the woman from the location where she attempted to use one of the stolen gift-cards. The police has offered a sum of $4000 (approximately Rs. 2.8 lakh) to any tips that could lead them to the thieving wedding crasher.
