Many desi shaadis are celebrated with great pomp and show, in the presence of several guests. But we have come across certain such weddings that are high on bizarre drama as well. For instance, a UP bride called off her wedding after taking ‘6 pheras’ because she disliked her groom, or how another UP bride called off the wedding as the groom couldn’t read a Hindi newspaper without his glasses.
A bizarre incident recently took place in Bharuwa Sumerpur village of Hamirpur district in Uttar Pradesh, where the groom’s mother was seen hitting him. She climbs up on the stage as the couple is exchanging varmalas, takes the slippers off her feet, and hurls them towards the groom in front of all the wedding guests, DNA reports. Check it out:
Reportedly, the groom’s mother was unhappy with him for his decision to marry a girl from another caste. He allegedly went against his family’s wishes and tied the knot with the girl in court and lived together as a married couple.
After the court marriage, the bride’s father decided to celebrate the wedding at a district hall on July 3, and didn’t invite the groom’s family and brothers. However, the groom’s mother reached the marriage venue and hit her son on stage. The guests present there then tried to control her and sent her back home.
