“Wish You Were Our PM.” Pakistani Woman Thanks Sushma Swaraj After Medical Visa Help

By now, we all know that Sushma Swaraj is a superwoman. She prefers wearing a saree rather than a cape (but who needs one!). There are no two ways about the fact that India’s Minister of External Affairs has always helped those in need. She is literally a tweet away.

There have been innumerable instances where Sushma Swaraj has helped not only Indians but citizens of the world too. Mrs. Swaraj has won hearts and admiration from all over and adding to that list, is this Pakistani citizen.

Hijaab Asif from Pakistan tweeted to Mrs. Swaraj on behalf of a Pakistani citizen who urgently sought an Indian medical visa to undergo treatment in India.

Sushma Swaraj took notice of Hijaab’s plight and directed India’s High Commissioner in Pakistan, Gautam Bambawale to issue them a visa.

Touched and overwhelmed by Mrs. Swaraj’s swift response, Hijaab, in a series of tweets, thanked the minister. Filled with gratitude, she tweeted.

1. I don’t think it would be wrong to call her a superwoman!

2. She wants to serve, does a country matter?

3. Now, there can only be one Sushma Swaraj!

This isn’t the first time Sushma Swaraj has helped Pakistani citizens. Right from ensuring the safety of Pakistani girls in our country to keeping her promise of granting a medical admission to a Pakistani girl, Mrs. Swaraj is a woman of her word.

Always ready to help, we are so proud that we truly have a people’s minister!
