You might have heard of the Hindi saying, ‘Kismat badaltey der nahi lagti’. Well, this proverb applies to both, good fortune and bad luck. And for this guy from Uttar Pradesh, it was far away from being good.
According to India Today, a woman called the cops on her husband after she allegedly caught him having Dosa with his girlfriend inside his car.
The high-voltage drama unfolded when the woman, hailing from Uttar Pradesh’s Banda, reached the spot along with her brother where the man was serving Dosa to his mistress from a nearby stall outside a temple, said police sources.
The brother-sister duo was able to expose the man’s extra-marital affair. They then nabbed them and took both the people to the nearby police station to register a complaint. But unfortunately, the cops couldn’t register a complaint against the man owing to the fact that adultery is no longer a crime in India. They set him free with a mere warning.
Apparently, this is not the first time that the man, a junior engineer (JE) with the UP government, has cheated on his wife. The wife alleged that her husband has extramarital affairs with several women and he often roams around with them.
The Supreme Court of India in September 2018 struck down a 158-year-old colonial-era law and ruled that adultery is no longer a crime.
