A shocking incident of domestic violence from the Gota area of Gujarat’s Ahmedabad recently came to light after a wife filed a police complaint against her husband.
A 34-year-old woman, who married her NRI husband back in December 2016, alleged that the man used to avoid having any physical relationships with her. In her complaint, she further claimed that he even used to forcefully feed beer to their two-year-old daughter, reported the Times Of India.
She further stated that apart from depriving her of sex for more than a year, he used to physically assault her on being provoked by her in-laws. He even used to give their little daughter empty beer cans to play with. The woman moved to Dubai with her husband in March 2017.
“My husband used to create ruckus after getting drunk. He used to beat me seeking dowry from my parents. He often drank beer and forced me to drink it even though I never liked it. My husband also forcibly made my two-year-old daughter drink beer,” read the FIR.
Moreover, he used to taunt her for her delicate physical condition. She further added that he even denied giving her any monetary aid even if it was for their ailing daughter and told the woman to ask for money from her parents, said a report by News18.
The family had returned from Dubai in March after which the man left the woman with her parents.
“He left my home on March 25 afternoon and later went incommunicado,” she alleged.
Suspecting that her husband and in-laws would fly to the UK from Dubai, she filed the complaint. The cops at Adalaj Police Station have registered the complaint and have initiated the investigation.
