Long distance relationships compel couples to get creative as they attempt to connect with one another. Some spend long hours whispering sweet nothings to their partner on the phone, while others schedule video calls. But exploring intimacy long distance can be potentially problematic. A wife in Bulgaria sought to spice things up with her husband working in the UK by taking a graphic video of herself.
Although it was intended for her husband’s eyes only, things spiralled out of control when she accidentally live-streamed it to her Facebook story. The nude video of her in bed was shared with more than 2000 of her Facebook friends to her chagrin.
The recorded video got even more graphic as it focused on her bare breasts as the wife attempted to entice her spouse with the raunchy footage. Uploaded by the woman who resides in the village of Tuhovishta in south-western Bulgaria; the Facebook story was viewed by her son as well as her family members who happened to be on Facebook.
The son, who is 20 was even more embarrassed because his friends (who are on his mother’s friend list) saw the video. Such was his discomfit that The Sun reported him saying he wouldn’t be able to visit home for at least 5 years.
Her husband was equally appalled and didn’t speak with his wife for days after the accidental broadcast. Local media reports that the couple’s family is still in shock. However, the woman is attempting to overcome the scandal by reaching out to close friends for comfort and support.
The power of the internet certainly brings the world closer. But it also exponentially multiplies the potential for a scandal with a single click. Doesn’t it?
