Is there a right age or time to find love and get married? Not really. We have umpteen examples of people finding love at old age homes and also people who encounter it again years after losing their partners. Twitter user Shayon Pal’s father lost his wife 10 years ago and tied the knot recently when he found someone he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.
How beautiful is this intimate ceremony with close friends and family!
So, my Dad got married the day before. The ceremony was (mostly) masked and just with close friends & family. It was both surreal and fun. After 10 years of being alone since my mom died, I’m glad that he found love again! pic.twitter.com/qGaD3u5CuA

People showered love and well wishes for the happy couple. They remarked how important it was for kids to understand their parents’ need for companionship and normalize second marriages.
Absolutely. I am happy for you and your dad, and mum. I have been there, except I got my old man married at the end of my school years, when he’d been divorced for ~a decade. He has been happy and I’ve been less worried about him, now that I stay away in a different city.

Wow.. people, esp. parents choosing happiness!🥰
Many Indian parents centre their lives completely around their children, &their leaving often creates empty nest syndrome
But along with all the sacrifices&love they shower on us, they should also think about their own happiness🥰 https://t.co/NvvO4IgtN3

This is just so heartwarming!
The need for a companion isn’t dictated by age nor the circumstances.
Good way forward 👏🏼! https://t.co/RY2CXjCAdK

Normalize 2nd marriage for people who are widowed and divorced. So happy to see the kids stand by their father. https://t.co/Vb2qeQj9Jo
