Schools In Maharashtra Are Going To Teach How To Text On Whatsapp. How Cool Is That!

If my school has taught me one thing apart from making me what I am today, it is texting without looking.

Considering the popularity of text messengers like WhatsApp in recent years, Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has decided to include the skill of texting in its curriculum.

Now, Class IX students from state schools may be asked to frame a leave SMS or a condolence message on Whatsapp for their examination.

According to TOI, the new paper pattern design will include a component where there will be one question related to composing text messages for mobile phones.

This is what the State Board Secretary Krishnakumar Patil had to say:

“The state board’s monthly magazine announced the change in paper pattern in its latest edition on September 17. The pattern change is for all second language subjects including Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, etc and composite language like Sanskrit, for improving the quality and development of students.”

 
Schools are also trying to make the best out of technology. How cool is that?
