A Couple’s #WeMetOnTwitter Love Story Sparks Meme-fest As Singles Mock Themselves

Finding a life partner these days have become a tad bit easy thanks to, not matrimonial sites, but dating apps. They surely have helped us know the person better and take a call for ourselves. However, there are some downsides to them too.

But, at this time when the world is coming closer on social media, platforms like Twitter have also become matchmakers for a lot of couples. Recently, an Indian couple took to the microblogging site and shared how a casual greeting on Twitter lead them to marry each other, reported News18.

Taking part in the viral meme, ‘How it Started vs How it’s Going’, the woman shared a screengrab of their first conversation. Using the hashtag #WeMetOnTwitter, they also shared pictures from their wedding day.

While some people were delighted to discover how the social media app played cupid for them, others (read singles) were left cursing their unlucky self.

Soon, #WeMetOnTwitter started trending online with people taking a dig at their single self with funny memes and jokes.

Some even shared how they met their BFFs and partners through social media:

While several people have been looking for their partners on social media, there are also some who are in search of prospective partners who AREN’T addicted to social media.

Glad to know that the time we spend mindlessly scrolling through our social media feeds is at least helping someone. Good for them!
