Josie managed to lose a staggering 63 kilos by sheer force of will and commitment to being healthy!

A little more than a year ago, Josei was frustrated with her weight and decided to do something about it. She took pictures of her body, and decided to start working towards losing the weight and chronicling her weightloss journey.

It’s crazy how much my body and mind have changed. I would previously dread going on these so called “diets”. I really wanted to be slim but eating only healthy food and starving myself was it really worth it? I didn’t think so back in the day and that’s why all my diets failed in the past because I’d just give in. I wasn’t mentally strong enough to say NO to bad decisions!! BUT my mind has changed completely. I don’t want to touch a single piece of chocolate again in my life! That’s my choice. She started her Instagram account @nolongerfatjosie after she began feeling more and more motivated about all the weight she had lost! While sharing her progress on Instagram was a good way to hold herself to her fitness goals, Josie received some incredible amount of support from her followers at every step.

One way to go about weight loss is to set goals for yourself. For Josie, it was the formal dance at her school! And lo and behold! She surprised everyone by showing up in this beautiful red dress!

So how did Josie go from being 127 kilos to almost half of her weight?

Of course, nothing comes without lots of dedication, perspiration and perseverance to one’s goals! And Josie had to do everything in the fitness book to achieve hers! Her father also decided to join her with his own fitness goals, and together the two managed to do the amazing!

There was regular exercising and gymming….

Once Josie was down to 90 kilos, she decided to continue working out at a gym.

A clean and healthy diet plan is as important!

Josie often shares her low-carb no-sugar meal recipes on her Instagram for others to try out!

One other thing that Josie did was keep track of her progress, and focus not on how far she still had to go but how far she had already come. And that has made all the difference!
