Bride Furious After Wedding Guest Takes Home 10 Tupperware Containers Of Free Food!

A lot of you will agree when I say that the major reason one goes to a wedding is free food! While we are completely capable of buying ourselves a meal from an outside restaurant or have the fridge loaded with home cooked food, wedding food is always of a different league altogether. And the best part – being able to bring home an additional packet!

While giving away free packets in an Indian function might not seem that big of a deal, people abroad tend to break into a sweat when asked for freebies because of the small-scale weddings they organise.

A particular bride got the shock of her life when one of her wedding guests packed 10 Tupperware containers with wedding food to take home and enjoy later!

Taking on Facebook the angry bride wrote, “My husband and I had a very small wedding ceremony and reception, probably about 25 people were invited. Only close family and a handful of friends.”

“I invited my dad’s BFF, so he’d have someone to socialise with, other than my mom, plus his friend has always been good to me”, she added.

Before the wedding, her dad’s “BFF” asked if he could bring along his daughter and her husband, to which the bride agreed.

But things got weirdly out of hand when the daughter showed up without the husband with 10 Tupperware containers to take home free food!

“We had a buffet style wedding and we had a cookie table. She loaded up seven containers with food to take home, took about three containers of homemade cookies, a couple of bottles of beer and most of the centrepieces”, the bride wrote.

While the bride was busy enjoying her wedding, her father noticed the entire incident but chose not to say anything.

What was said next is downright hilarious!

“My dad told me about it the next day. And when we opened up our ‘gift’ from her – she gave us $5 (Rs. 347). Not even kidding. A five dollar bill.”

She claimed that the woman was by no means poor and probably “better-off” than she was.

While we all enjoy literally anything that’s free, this is taking it a bit too far! I already feel sorry for anyone who invites her to a family function in the future!
