According to sources, this experience is offered by Warren Buffett as a part of his annual auction which aims to raise money as a charity for Glide Foundation. For the past 19 years, he has been helping the foundation and has raised close to $30 million USD (209 crore INR approx) so far.
This year is the event’s 20th year and Buffett is auctioning off a grand style lunch along with him at New York’s Smith & Wollensky Steakhouse which is considered to be super expensive!
However, the entire lunch experience comes at a hefty price. Bidding has started on eBay from a whopping $25,000 USD (17.4 lakh INR approx). An anonymous bidder raised close to $3.46 million USD (24.1 crore INR approx) in 2012, so if you want to grab the deal you’d have to top that amount!
The auction will be on for a week and the entire money will be donated to Glide that strives to work against poverty, hunger, and homelessness in San Francisco. The winner will get to take 7 people along and maybe, have a good chat with him!
