Waqar Younis Says Hacker Liked Obscene Video From His Account; Twitter Reacts With Memes

Social media can be a double-edged sword for celebrities. While it is a great platform for them to connect with their fans, they are also under scrutiny for every little thing they post online. So, it goes without saying being in the public eye comes with its share of responsibilities.

Speaking of which, Pakistan pacer Waqar Younis was recently slammed online for liking an obscene video. However, the cricketer denied his involvement and instead accused a hacker of liking the porn clip from his official Twitter account, reports India Today.

Waqar shared a video trying to explain himself:

He clarified to his followers that he had nothing to do with the inappropriate actions. He also mentioned that this was not the first time his account was hacked and that he might quit social media for good. However, people didn’t quite believe him.

Many people were quick to lambaste him with quirky memes as they doubted his course of action:

We just hope the situation is sorted at the earliest. After all, cases of cybercrime do have serious consequences. What do you think about the entire incident? Tell us!
