To greet the passengers, maintain hospitality, serve food and drinks mid-air, all the while keeping a huge smile on the face at the height of more than 31,000 ft is a huge deal! Moreover, the long hours of work, delayed flights, rotational shifts and jet lag too forms a part a parcel of cabin crew’s job. In simple words, being an air hostess is not as fancy as it may look. After all, every profession has its own share of pros and cons.
Well, during a long hectic day at work, have you ever put your head down on the desk and snoozed for a few minutes to take a power nap? Most of us have! And so did an air hostess of Vistara airlines.
But a passenger clicked a picture of her taking a nap in Bengaluru’s Kempegowda Airport lounge and posted it on social media complaining about the unprofessional cabin crew they have.
“Your cabin crew providing a negative image of **** airline @BLR domestic lounge on December 3. Please improve your image provided by the cabin crew,” he wrote, reports News 18.
This did not go down well with Vistara chief Sanjiv Kapoor and he bashed the man for taking her pic without her permission and also reminded him that the cabin crew are humans too.
We do not condone such photos being taken of our crew or customers without their permission, nor do we think it is correct to post such photos on social media. Our crew are the finest in the industry, and are human too. We suggest you do the right thing and take the photo down.

Kapoor’s tweet soon amassed several reactions with people lending their support to him and the air hostess.
Well said Sanjeev. Cabin crew members are not robots. They are human and need rest when tired. She is not at aircraft duty and has right of privacy as a private citizen. @AviationAnalyti Please delete this tweet and tender apology to the concerned person.

Great Leadership,, it's really important to lead the team providing timely support.
Crews also human being, it's not a crime to take nap while waiting for flight.
And Mr Analyst you don't have any right to click and post pics without taking permission. Wonderful reply.— Mukesh Maloo (@mukeshmaloo) December 4, 2019
Well said Sir. This also speaks about how well vistara thinks of its employees. Happy employees will provide the best services. A power nap, is part of the happiness !!:) On the other hand, no body should be allowed to click a picture of another person without their permission.

Taking a quick nap during work isn’t a big deal unless you are flying a plane or something similar. As long as you are not risking anyone’s life, snoozing for a few minutes during work is fine, right? What are your thoughts on the incident? Tell us!
